Oh it has been a while! I’ve attempted to take blog photos atleast 3 times in the past month, either it starts raining, my battery dies, or I can’t find a spot quiet enough. Even today I forgot my SD card but that was something I could quickly buy. My weekends these days mainly consist of walking up Tottenham Court Road going into all the interior stores. Apart from the obvious West Elm, Lombok is quickly becoming one of my favourites places for furniture/interior pieces.
This ASOS maxi denim pinafore is perfect for the unpredictable London weather – I’ve worn it with a Primark stripped top which is probably one of my most worn tops and considering it was only £6 I really have gotten my monies worth. Finished off with a pair of all leather white converse – these are not made for long distance walking. I forgot how uncomfortable converses actually are and as much as I love these, my feet will not be getting into another pair for a while.
The Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag is lovely but there are a couple things to note if you’re considering on getting this a) it can get really heavy once you have things actually inside it, b) it scratches very quickly, loosing that pristine quality, c) it takes forever finding anything in the bag! But other than, it’s a beauty of a bag.
Things that I want but London rent prices won’t allow me to buy. ASOS participates in the whole Black Friday shin-dig. (20% off – not that much off in my opinion) Personally I don’t agree with this whole black Friday nonsense. From what I’m aware of, it was a discounted event in America which took place after thanks-giving in order to get people back into gear to shop. Fair play. But England doesn’t celebrate Thanks-giving? Last year I saw some shops partake in the whole discount thing and it was pretty harmless and I even brought a few things in the beauty discount. But this year has been something else, websites crashed, people pushing/beating each other for a 40inch non branded, crappy TV. Is this the new boxing day?? Sales are crap, things from last season that shops are trying to get rid of.
Anywho back to the main focus of this post. My most lusted after ASOS picks.
Monki Fairsle jumper, a very Christmas appropriate, but I can see myself very easily wearing it into New Year and basically through-out however long English winter is going to be.
Mink-pink foil print jumper – I have been eyeing up a lot of metallic clothing – skirts, tops, jumpers. I love Mink-pink, the quality is awesome and everything I’ve brought from the range I have been able to wear it through-out the year.
Monki faded floral shirt – Spending majority of my time in a workshop, I’m constantly on the hunt for comfortable yet smart but slightly casual clothing. I feel like this shirt may be slightly sheer so a tank will be required.
ASOS Bien jumper – I try and avoid buying slogan jumpers, they tend to go out of fashion very quick and I get bored of them. I’ve had this saved in my basket for a while and I keep coming back to it again – can’t really put my finger on why, it’s just so nice!
ASOS, would you kindly offer us a 30% so I can buy these things! Did you get anything this black Friday?
Who would’ve thought that this little snazzy number (i.e. the skirt) would be from M&S? I saw this on the model in my local Marks and Spencer and fell in love, a number that I would expect to see in Zara, don’t you think? I’m not ready to give up the whole A-line midi skirts, I am completely obsessed with them. I’ve paired it with my TOPSHOP blazer – ultimate staple item. Currently lusting over a chambray shirt from Topshop and some ripped JAMIE jeans.
Going back to school – everywhere I look on social media there seems to be an influx of back to school selfies and ootd of uniforms. I remember wearing a crisp clean new uniform every year and being so excited. How time flies. Fast forward 10 years and I’m wearing a new kinda uniform. A teacher’s attire. I do these so often I think it should be category of its own. Going back to school and snapping out of holiday/summer mode is so hard. There totally needs to be guide book on how to do this.
*note – excuse the messy background, I have a wardrobe that needs to be put up – I wish I was one of those well located visual type OOTDs – mine are in my little flat – apologies!*
If there’s anything else that I enjoy more than shopping is making a list of things to buy. A/W means a whole revamp of the wardrobe – out with the old and in with the new. I haven’t really changed up my winter wardrobe for a couple of years. Mainly because I work through-out winter and stick with trousers and a jumper (Teachers uniform) but this year that’s all going to change. I’ve browsed the ASOS (mainly the new-in section) and found some awesome bits.
The next week is going to be insanely busy. I never really realised how hard it is to juggle a blog and a full-time job. Saying that, I am doing two jobs currently. As much as I miss school when it finishes, I begin to miss it after a while. I thought I would have slightly more time now that GCSE students have left but it’s quite the opposite. Anywho seeing as the last couple of weeks might be a bit full one, I may stick to OOTD outfits.
Stripes and check pattern together? I must be cray cray. Now this probably isn’t to everyone’s taste. (more…)
Okay, so a wish-list which doesn’t have a coherent trend, just some bits that I love and intend to buy this month. See it more of a diary to keep me on track so I don’t buy other bits and only things I love!
Avenger Toe Cap Chunky Boots – I’ve been lustring after some chunky heeled ankle boots. I love my Denim Vagabonds that’s I recently brought but I saw these in Topshop and fell in love! The heel is perfect – chunky heels all the way! The cut out detail is insane…I love it! I have the flat version of these that I brought in the winter and I have worn them to death. There’s a grainy leather effect on the majority of the shoe with a patent bit at the front. I need these pronto.
Topshop printed trousers
I am the queen of printed trousers – I don’t have many plain printed bottoms. I’m all about the wild prints. The bolder the better. These have a real ‘boho chic’ feel to them. I think just paired with a white/coloured cami they will be absolutely fab in the summer. I really need to get myself to TOPSHOP.
Topshop pink ruck sack
A ruck sack? The last time I owned one was when I was 7years old and went on trips. It was bright yellow with Tweety pie on the front. Good times. Pink and leather is not a combo I thought I would be loving anytime soon. But when I saw this handbag – it was instant love. I don’t know how much use I would get out of it as I drive everywhere. But it’s just so cute!
River Island – Duster Jacket
I saw this Black and Blue checked duster coat in River Island and actually smiled to myself. Like a full on ear to ear kinda grin. I saw the trousers to this in my local RI but they were out of stock. Boo. Couple weeks later the jacket came out – and as it hadn’t been payday yet. I resisted. However I need this. Such a versatile piece. Last year was all about the blazer, but it seems like long-line blazers/coats are the new thing.
Asos Minkpink Sunglasses
Do I really need to talk about the gorgeousness of these? I love the round shape of the MINKPINK glasses, the tortoise rim is fab – and I think they will suit my oval shape head. An order may have just been placed. Oops.
What is on your wish list?
My first dabble into the big wide world of Youtube I posted a MASSIVE Asos haul, I thought I would attempt a lookbook. Super short, I need to sort out editing skills – clearly I have none! Anywho, click play and let me know what you think…x
