We all want smooth, hydrated hair right? I speak for all of us that are on a hunt to find the perfect product which will give us luscious locks. Especially if you have coloured /dry hair it can be quite coarse and super difficult to manage. *cough cough hint hint* When Boots was on 3 for 2 I literally spent all my spent my savings (lets me honest, I didn’t have that many savings to start off with) buying stuff I thought I needed wanted. One product in particular was the Charles Worthington Moisture seal intense rescue melting balm – whoa what a title. It basically promises to seal/mend split ends. Let me just stop you right here to tell you that split ends cannot – I repeat, cannot – be healed. It’s not a scar which can resurface and grow – once your hair has been split, it needs to be cut. Simples.
Pastels galore. I’ve never really given up on the pastel trend since 2010. Now I love me Essies and my Barry M’s and I adore my blue polishes even more – you can see my declaration for them here. I am heavily against paying a ridiculous amount of a nail polish. When I was browsing the counter of Dior for their summer limited edition lipstick in the colour …and they were out of stock. Which made me want it more? Does that happen to anyone else?
Orange lip are the trend this summer – they were around last year but if I remember correctly. It is a lot bolder and a real strong orange lip this year. So I’ve looked through my make-up stash and picked out the top orange must haves.
Cleansing balms were ‘the’ thing last year – but how do we feel about cleansing oil? I don’t normally buy on a whim skincare products. I usually go through and endless amount of blogs/reviews and then after much deliberation I come to a decision. When it comes to skincare I am super cautious as I have sensitive skin and once flared up it can be completely horrendous to handle.
We’re 3 and a half months into a year and there have been some absolutely fantastic releases for spring/summer. I tend to go through phases where I love eye shadows and sometimes I don’t. Not being a MUA I always browse through YouTube free to find the most dummy friendly smoky eye tutorial.
Being a lipstick fiend, there have been plenty of times where I’ve brought a colour which doesn’t suit me. I thought I’d write a list of Do’s and Don’ts.
My first dabble into the big wide world of Youtube I posted a MASSIVE Asos haul, I thought I would attempt a lookbook. Super short, I need to sort out editing skills – clearly I have none! Anywho, click play and let me know what you think…x
With the sun beginning to peep out, it’s time we start preparing our body (mainly legs) for the summer to come.
Prep is key; two things I would highly recommend EXFOLIATE and MOISTURISE. We seem to forget this process in the winter as our legs aren’t on show as much. But it is so important to remove all the dead skin cells for new skin cells to evolve to the forefront and reveal gorgeous glowing skin. I use these Boots Exfoliating gloves which do the job pretty well. Place your favourite shower gel/cream/lotion in the finger tips and palms of your glove and massage in circular motions. I usually spend about 10/15mins.
If someone asked me to pick only one make-up item to have for the rest of my life, without a shadow of doubt I would pick concealer. Dab a little bit of the stuff on and your good to go, it hides the bags, blemishes, scarring, the lot.
Now the question we have here, what is the best concealer? There are so many to choose from – cream ones, liquid ones, highlighting ones, the list is endless.
Ever found yourself wondering hopelessly in the isles of Boots looking for a good body scrub?
