The one product I tend to change in my makeup bag quite often is blusher. I also really like to experiment with textures and consistencies of different products; I’m forever on the lookout for a new colour which I don’t already have or an innovative formula, something long lasting, buildable- all that jazz.

Now everyone loves a bit of Chanel right? My sister swears by CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder blushers, I’ve tried a couple that she owns and they reminded me of Bourjois little round pots of blush – and why wouldn’t they? After all they are owned by the same company. Anywho the colour payoff wasn’t amazing and not worth the £31.00 price tag in my opinion.

When Chanel launched their Crème Blushers in 2013 I was massively intrigued and was eager to swatch them. Out of the 6 shades available there were two colours I fell in lurvvv with instantly. Affinite (65) and Fantastic (66).

Fantastic is a deep pink –plumy shade and Affinite is a lot lighter in colour and is like a light fuchsia with blue undertones. I opted for Affinite as I wanted something that I would genuinely get more wear out of as opposed to what looked prettier in pan! (They’re both actually very stunning.)

The texture is heavenly, extremely pigmented and lasts up to 10 hours – tried and tested.

Due to my crazy busy day I have absolutely no time for lunch let alone touch up my blusher, a fool-proof product is what I need. Something that I can apply at 7.00am (yes I start that early!) and must lasts till at least 4pm. This is it; my bestest blusher friend, Affinite. It’s a beautiful colour for every day; works really well with my olive skin tone. It can be worn quite sheer it you apply the tiniest amount lightly with your finger, but it is also exceptionally buildable. I use my fingers to apply it, start from the chubbiest part of my cheek and gently buff it out. Once the product touches the skin it turns into this powdery texture – it just sets into the skin and it.doesn’t.budge!

For £27.00 I think it is a great value, a beautiful shade colour and amazing consistency. For sure a product I can see myself reaching out for on an everyday basis. Now I just have to refrain from buying Fanastic. Also, a sneak peak at Chanels Spring 2014 collection – there are two new shades of crème blush that are launching – the one that really stands out is called Chamade its a pinky-red – full review is on Temptalia’s blog here.  Which – mark my words – I will be hunting for as soon as it launches in the U.K.
