Ever been to a restaurant and you’re still thinking about the food almost a week later?
I didn’t think that was even possible until I woke up this morning with Tuesday’s dinner on my mind. I met up with one of my closest bud-bud for a long catch up session and we both absolutely love meat. I went through a phase where I ate vegetarian food for 3 years and one random day I ate meat – that was it. I was hooked.
I very rarely do a ‘lifestyle’ post. I don’t really think a lot of what I do is super exciting, but a recent venture made me want to share.
It’s been just about 4 days since I’ve come back from my holiday in Italy – mind you, it feels a lot longer. We booked a get-away to Sardinia and to be honest I hadn’t done that much research on it. I looked at a couple of beaches and it looks incredible. So flight booked, accommodation booked. And off we went…
I wear this everyday – it’s a necessity and a fashion item, but I feel like I haven’t really spoken about it, but I always get questioned where I brought it from. Today I reveal all…
I have taken a plunge and dived into the world of YouTube. I thought I ‘d try it, I love watching other youtubers, it’s great entertainment. Also, there’s just some information you can’t get across from writing. I love my blog very much and it is still my main thing. But I wanted to give it a go. Yolo and all that.
So a typical haul, in my opinion, kind of excessive…15mins of your life that you’ll never get back. (you’ve been warned)
If you do watch it please let me know what you think.
Shall I stick to writing and keep my high pitch voice off of the screen…? *nervous laugh*

‘tis that time of the week, where you’re not having the Monday blues but Friday just seems a long away – you might be feeling a little tired and you just may need a slight ‘pick me up’. For some people that could be a little splurge on something you’ve had your eye on, or having a cheat day in your diet plan? What is your pick me up?
For me, it’ll be going home, putting on my favourite face mask, lighting up a candle and doing some good ol’ internet shopping. I have been loving the Yankee Tarts and it’s more to do with the actual tart burner as opposed to the tart itself. Photos of the burner can be seen on my Instagram.
Lavender is known for relaxing the muscles and the scent has a calming effect, which helps one sleep better, etc. I’ve mentioned one of my favourite Cow and shed shower gels that has Jasmine essence in my pamper post. So a lavender candle kind of fits the bill no?
Behold my Yankee Lavender and Lemon candle. Now at first I was really sceptical as they’re two opposite scents, Lavender is known to be a relaxing aroma then you’ve got a citrus fragrance which is extremely energising. To my surprise they work extremely well paired up. The lemon scent fuses in with the lavender beautifully, the candle oozes out this gorgeous, soft, powdery scent and it’s extremely refreshing but soothing at the same time – if that makes any sense? I used it Sunday night and I don’t think I’ve felt that relaxed in a long time.
Two scents you wouldn’t really pair together, happen to blend in perfectly, one doesn’t over power the other. It’s true what they say, opposites do attract. So that’s my plan, light up my lavender and lemon candle, close my eyes and imagine I’m in a lavender field…mmmm.
What will you be doin’ to wind down mid-week?
