Every artist needs a good set of tools to create a master-piece, (or something like that.) So everyone (who wears makeup) in my opinion NEEDS a good make-up brush.

I have taken a plunge and dived into the world of YouTube. I thought I ‘d try it, I love watching other youtubers, it’s great entertainment. Also, there’s just some information you can’t get across from writing. I love my blog very much and it is still my main thing. But I wanted to give it a go. Yolo and all that.
So a typical haul, in my opinion, kind of excessive…15mins of your life that you’ll never get back. (you’ve been warned)
If you do watch it please let me know what you think.
Shall I stick to writing and keep my high pitch voice off of the screen…? *nervous laugh*

When using skincare I need to be super careful, my skin is so unpredictable; I could have a really good days and really bad days using the same product. Undoubtedly left with me with a lot of trust issues. (more…)
Ever gone on holiday somewhere super sunny and after hours and days of sun bathing, you have the most gorgeous tan but your hair is, well…just a whole other story. That was me about 8months ago. I went Dubai (loved it!) but came back with really dehydrated and crispy hair. In search for fix it conditioner; a trip to Boots was in order.
Getting told off for hoarding a bunch of empty bottles has probably been the highlight of me preparing for this post.
When you have an empty product which is used down to every last drop, it creates an ‘I’m so good you want to use every bit of me’ statement. I love reading empties blogposts; I feel that if you’ve used an entire bottle you’re able to give a more accurate feedback on the pro’s and con’s.
When it comes to skincare I solemnly believe nothing beats natural ingredients. I found S.W Basics on cutecosmetics.co.uk who stock a limited range of their products. I’ve never really heard of them in the blogosphere (or I’ve completely missed it). I researched into the brand and they create products from 100% natural ingredients, in small batches, at local small farms – pure goodness! Amen to that.
I find it really hard to shop for beauty drugstore products. Can you believe that I’ve never brought a drugstore foundation before? I’m awful at colour matching myself and I have an orange/yellow based skin tone which I find is either quite hard to match or drugstore colour range are limited so I usually pay that little bit more and go to a premium brand counter.
However, the things that I do shop for in drugstore are (mainly) lip products, nail polishes and blushers.
There’s a couple of things from Sleek that I’ve been loving – thier products are so pigmented. Let me introduce the Blush by 3 palettes – basically 3 shades of blushes within the same ‘colour’ palette which work well together or separately.
Zara is probably in the top 10 places I like to shop on the high-street. A lot of their pieces are very timeless and classic which means you get plenty of wear out of them and are made of an extremely high quality.
Now I’m one of those people that buy a bag, wear it with everything and anything. I’m not super precious with my handbags. I tend to chuck ‘em around, put it into a locker at work, on the floor in the tube, you get the jist of it. So buying a Chanel handbag (as gorgeous as they are!) just doesn’t seem practical or viable at this stage of my life… (Not to mention the extortionate price!) So I’m left on the lookout for a beautifully sculpted handbag which can be a staple piece in my wardrobe for the spring season.
Nars Velvet Matte lip pencils are phenomenal. This sums up my post. Shall we just stop here?
My obsession with Dragon girl is still going strong but a girl can never have too many lipsticks right?
I hate giving into hype because I feel that sometimes products just don’t match up to what everyone raves on about. However I had my eye on the Hourglass Ambient lighting powder’s for a long time but I waited out. For 2 reasons,
- I like to think that I would apply a highlighter/face powder every morning – let’s be honest, I am too darn lazy…
- I don’t think I need any more products (but that doesn’t really stop me so perhaps a not so good reason)
