Mascara (along with concealer) is a product that I tend to wear consistently. I found that it really opens up the eyes. Also, I think it’s a product which requires little/no skill to apply, ha! I’m no make-up artists, just a crazy lady who loves buying make-up! But I feel that can apply mascara really well!
Fun fact, mascara was the first ever beauty product I brought myself.
Anywho – after years and years of my mascara obsession I have accumulated a range of brands – tried and test them all – so without further ado I present you my best picks.
NB; you should really change your mascaras up every 3 months. (more…)
I’m assuming all girls who are beauty obsessed have one too many red nail polishes. I myself am no different. I have tried and tested an endless amount of shades to find the perfect red that matches my skin tone. I found that I much
need prefer a shade with hints of orange to it. They seem to brighten up my olive complexion and give my hands an ‘ooooh, I’ve just come back holiday and I’m so tanned’ feel.
Kiko is a dark horse in the beauty world, I think this time next year they will be a brand who will be soaring through the roofs. A couple years ago I thought Inglot had the same prospects but they seemed to die out for me. Fingers crossed Kiko keep providing the goods, they haven’t failed as of yet…
Do you follow beauty hypes? Good, so you’ll remember the all famous Emma Hardie Cleansing balm, yes? A product which was heavily raved about by some of my favourite beauty bloggers e.g Caroline Hirons, A model recommends, the list is endless. And ofcourse I just couldn’t help myself and hop onto the merry ol’ bandwagon.
‘tis that time of the week, where you’re not having the Monday blues but Friday just seems a long away – you might be feeling a little tired and you just may need a slight ‘pick me up’. For some people that could be a little splurge on something you’ve had your eye on, or having a cheat day in your diet plan? What is your pick me up?
For me, it’ll be going home, putting on my favourite face mask, lighting up a candle and doing some good ol’ internet shopping. I have been loving the Yankee Tarts and it’s more to do with the actual tart burner as opposed to the tart itself. Photos of the burner can be seen on my Instagram.
Lavender is known for relaxing the muscles and the scent has a calming effect, which helps one sleep better, etc. I’ve mentioned one of my favourite Cow and shed shower gels that has Jasmine essence in my pamper post. So a lavender candle kind of fits the bill no?
Behold my Yankee Lavender and Lemon candle. Now at first I was really sceptical as they’re two opposite scents, Lavender is known to be a relaxing aroma then you’ve got a citrus fragrance which is extremely energising. To my surprise they work extremely well paired up. The lemon scent fuses in with the lavender beautifully, the candle oozes out this gorgeous, soft, powdery scent and it’s extremely refreshing but soothing at the same time – if that makes any sense? I used it Sunday night and I don’t think I’ve felt that relaxed in a long time.
Two scents you wouldn’t really pair together, happen to blend in perfectly, one doesn’t over power the other. It’s true what they say, opposites do attract. So that’s my plan, light up my lavender and lemon candle, close my eyes and imagine I’m in a lavender field…mmmm.
What will you be doin’ to wind down mid-week?
I’ve only been blogging just under a month now and absolutely love it, it’s something I’m super passionate about, I love sharing my favourite products, it means a lot when I know you lovely people reading this actually enjoy my content.
